Intelligraphics is a preferred provider of system level development services for a number of key audio hardware manufacturers. Intelligraphics' staff has helped pioneer the adoption and implementation of WDM audio drivers and the creation of audio drivers to support AC'97 digital controllers.

Our developers have provided development assistance, project acceleration, feature enhancements, and complete audio drivers for multi-channel audio controllers, ISA and PCI audio devices, media controllers, AC '97 digital controllers, and audio applications. Intelligraphics has also provided our clients with drivers and firmware for embedded systems, including a variety of DSPs, microcontrollers, and microprocessors.

Our team has extensive experience with Microsoft's DirectSound API and porting hardware onto the Windows platform in order to take advantage of DirectSound. Our team has provided development for DirectMusic and proprietary APIs, even creating proprietary APIs and their subsystems and providing additional functionality for existing APIs.

Intelligraphics has developed audio device drivers on a number of PC and embedded platforms, using several APIs and driver models.

WDM Audio Driver Development
Due to the release of Windows 2000 and the Microsoft logo certification requirements, many audio hardware manufacturers are in need of WDM audio drivers to support their hardware. Intelligraphics has extensive experience in WDM, having developed WDM drivers for Windows 98Gold, Windows 98SE, and Windows 2000 to support a number of audio accelerators.

Intelligraphics can also provide expert WDM driver development for joysticks (and other HID peripherals), mass storage hardware, parallel and serial ports, USB devices, scanners, and other key hardware technologies.

VxD Audio Driver Development
Intelligraphics also provides VxD audio driver development for Windows NT, 95, 95OS/R2 and Windows 3.1. With experience in both Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT 3.51 audio drivers, Intelligraphics audio development team has the expertise to address your most complex driver development issues. Intelligraphics' audio team has enhanced the sample Audio Library provided by Microsoft in the mmedia\soundlib directory of the Windows NT DDK in order to provide a complete, generic NT audio development platform. Implementation of this Audio Library provides a new audio device with a robust, extensible software foundation while reducing the driver development cycle. The Audio Support Library is currently available for license.

Intelligraphics has provided development assistance, project acceleration, feature enhancements, and complete Windows 95 audio drivers to several key clients. For companies interested in moving their hardware onto the Windows platform in order to utilize Microsoft's DirectSound API, Intelligraphics can work with you to develop drivers that enable your hardware to take advantage of DirectSound. Intelligraphics has also provided numerous Windows 3.1 audio drivers for both PCI and ISA audio devices.

AC'97 Audio Driver Development
With the arrival of Intel's Audio/Modem Riser (AMR) and Mobile Daughter Card (MDC) specifications, many codec manufacturers who have never before developed software internally are seeking a resource for AC'97 audio driver development. Intelligraphics has developed multiple audio drivers, both WDM and VxD, for the Intel AC'97 I/O Controller Hub (ICH) on virtually all desktop operating systems. Our audio team has helped several codec manufacturers produce WHQL-quality audio drivers to support their hardware and their clients.

Intelligraphics has created a Windows NT audio code base for PCI devices. Created prior to and independently of Intel's ICH code base, Intelligraphics' driver code base can be used on non-Intel AC'97 digital controllers. Intelligraphics' code base is of a cleaner design than other code bases for AC'97 digital controllers.

Linux Audio Driver Development
Due to the increased Linux demand from VARs and OEMs, many hardware manufacturers require Linux audio drivers for distribution in pre-configured Linux systems. Intelligraphics provides development services for complete Linux audio solutions, including full duplex playback and record as well as full mixer controls. Our recent Linux audio projects have been based on the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA), one of the most popular Linux audio platforms today.

Macintosh Audio Driver Development
Intelligraphics' engineers have developed a number of device drivers for the MacOS platform, having provided development services to Apple Computer and others. Intelligraphics is intimately familiar with the Mac operating system, and our team can work with you to develop Macintosh drivers to support your audio hardware.

OS/2 Audio Driver Development
Intelligraphics is recognized as one of the leading suppliers of OS/2 audio drivers and driver development. Intelligraphics has provided a number of OS/2 audio drivers for both ISA and PCI devices as well as for AC'97 digital controllers.
